@RNU_NL Coffey says RNU members feel “hung out to dry”. Calls it an unstable healthcare system. Working 16-24 hour shifts, not good for them or patients.

Shameful on so many levels! No academic amnesty, no cancelling of labs/classes, etc. and now - no answers from a President whose salary these students pay! Solidarity with @MUNFaculty #FairDealAtMUN

[MUNSU @MUNSU35]

After cancelling her planned visit to the CSF, students tried to get a meeting with President Timmons at her office. We were told she meets by appointment only, when asked how to make an appointment they had no answer.

We will be waiting, join us!

Another rally in support of the @MUNFaculty fight for a #FairDealAtMUNL tomorrow Feb 10 at noon at Arts + Admin. Spread the word! @cupe1615pres @MUNSU35 @KeithDunneNL @jerry4nape @NLFL_labour @jessmccormick @Lanampayne @CFSNL @CupeNL @cupw

@MemorialU As a MUN alumni and parent to undergrads...I find @MemorialU's communication tactics shameful! It's more important to students - you negotiate a fair deal for @MUNFaculty. I don't know any student who'd prefer a few days break..to getting back to the education they paid for.

[Grenfell Faculty @GrenfellFaculty]

This is what our bargaining team is returning to the table for today at 2 PM — a #FairDealAtMUN. @MUNFaculty are sharing their reasons for striking, experiences with job insecurity, funding cut-backs, and other structural issues @MemorialU. @GCSUnion @MUNSU35 @themusenl

[Jennifer Rideout @jenrideout2]

#FairDealAtMUN As a parent of two MUN students, a MUN alumni, and union member - I appreciate your efforts!! Solidarity!

[Jennifer Rideout @jenrideout2]

@barrypower31 My daughters are both Faculty of Science - no one contacted them to get their view on crossing a picket line! But they’ve been told by administration that they have to go to their labs? Really? Solidarity MUNFA!

[MUNFA @MUNFaculty]

MUN administration intentionally not filling >100 tenure-track faculty positions that are *already in the budget*

[Jennifer Rideout @jenrideout2]

@KeithDunneNL @blairbachelder1 Agree with you Keith...if they are availing of the MUN food bank, it's because with the tuition hikes they can't afford to eat. I fear what students will live on for the next week or so until the food bank is replenished.

The 204th Royal St. John’s regatta is a NO go. It’s postponed.

The conditions aren’t good for rowers. They say they’re confident tomorrow is a better day #cbcnl
