We are facing an epidemic of misogyny.
Too often, rape and sexual violence are dismissed as youthful mistakes rather than life-altering crimes that leave victims carrying the consequences forever.
Our justice system must deliver real accountability and deterrence.
And furthermore, the message in sports has always been: train harder, train smarter, hire the best coaches you can afford, and do everything possible to become the best athlete you can be.
I still remember the times I won MVP awards. Those are core memories I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. That’s because sports matter. The victories matter. The losses matter. The effort matters.
Sports are not about validating identities.
Sports are about competition.
Bodies compete. Not identities.
Women have been physically overpowered by males throughout recorded history, across every culture, civilization, and era. The female category exists because sex differences are real, measurable, and consequential. If they weren’t, there would be no need for women’s sports in the first place.
The female category must be protected.
Sports are zero-sum. Someone makes the team and someone doesn’t. Someone wins and someone loses. Someone gets the scholarship and someone else goes home disappointed.
That’s not unfair.
That’s competition.
We have already seen males who were puberty blocked competing and winning in girls’ sports. The argument was that blocking puberty would eliminate male advantage. Reality has not cooperated with that claim.
Females are not disabled males.
Females are not a hormone level.
Female is not an identity.
Being a woman is not a feeling, a belief, or a declaration. It is not something that can be certified by a doctor, granted by a court, or achieved through medication.
It is a biological reality.
Objective categories require objective criteria.
That’s why sex verification should occur when athletes first register for organized sports, including youth sports. Categories only work when they are based on the characteristic they were created to recognize and protect.
The female category exists for females.
And it deserves to remain that way.
I have zero problems with transsexuals who are fully aware of their reality & don’t try to force a subjective reality (which doesn’t actually exist) onto others.
I’m more libertarian in that aspect.
the best advice i can give to any trans person from the ages of 18-21 is do not put ur life on hold for transitioning. do not boymoder. do not isolate yourself. you need to do everything you possibly can to not hate yourself. bc years from now it will all compound and get worse
@HelenWebberley Sexual violence from whom? Men.
What do abusers often do? Lie.
Now, do you still not see a problem with letting MEN into women's spaces because they SAY they are women?
@LHF1970@jk_rowling@CrunchAlias@Keri_J_Russell Men have been left alone by transvestites because they know they can't get away with it. It's been left to women to fight this. There is no male equivalent to terf. They have never campaigned against male violence. It's all lies top to bottom.
@LHF1970@jk_rowling@CrunchAlias@Keri_J_Russell 100%. This is a men’s issue. The campaign should be to make sure all men - even those wearing make up and dresses - are safe in the mensroom. It has NOTHING to do with women.
@jk_rowling@CrunchAlias@Keri_J_Russell Has anyone ever asked the good men of the world to simply step forward and guarantee the safety of transgenders in their bathrooms? A bit of “we’ve got your back”?
@akuareindorf@ForWomenScot I’ve never seen so many variations on: “We can protect female-only single sex spaces but also let special men in”
It’s almost as if they think, if they say it really quickly, no one will notice
All very 2018 retro 🤦♀️
@Gaynotqueer1 AAAaAAaAaaaaAAAaAAa!!!!!!!1!!!!!
Lesbians are one thing - exclusively same-sex attracted females. Not a political affiliation, not a social identity. You can't identify into it - you are or you aren't.
