Here's another for you @SuellaBraverman. 18 year old boy from Enfield. His Mum dies and he has no family. He ends up homeless living in a shed. He gets my contact details and I help him. I put him in the Travelodge on the A10 for 2 weeks until I can find him a room in a housing association. I knew the staff so this was possible. He was scared, cold, wet, and starving when I picked him up. He cried for hours. Anyhow we looked after him and now he's doing a degree in engineering. It was not a lifestyle choice for him. And I'm sure he'd be more than happy to educate you on this.
At 16, I was placed in a bedsit with two older men who were both alcoholics. The place was dangerous and unsuitable for a 16 year old boy leaving care and starting an independent life. No one listened when I begged for somewhere safe to live. I ended up falling behind on my bills because I had no money or support, and before I knew it, I was homeless. That's how quickly it can happen, and you have no control over it whatsoever. It is not a lifestyle choice. @SuellaBraverman
@theonlypeterkay That one is ordered to commit a crime is no defence in the law. You cannot be compelled to break the law by an employer. Where does this leave NHS staff, care home staff? A really important principle needs to emerge for future analogous situations.
“Hancock tells lawyers he wants immunity on care home deaths during Covid pandemic” Gina Miller says “The threshold has been met to investigate Mr Hancock for gross negligence manslaughter… a common law offence that carries a maximum of life imprisonment” https://t.co/rkUBRNLsNr
5 November 1940 | A Dutch Jewish boy, Martijn Franklin Altmann, was born in The Hague.
In March 1944 he was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
The Silver Sword by Ian Serraillier.
With so much war and people displacement around the globe, I’d say this novel is as relevant today as it was when first written.
Dear Suella Braverman
You might want to have a word with Helen Whately. She has quite the 'lifestyle' - all at taxpayers' expense. Mrs Whately claims up to £39,000 per year in rent expenses. Yet she lives only 50 miles from Westminster.

I spoke at yesterday’s Palestine solidarity match in Southend on Sea. When I introduced myself as Jewish, the crowd immediately cheered loudly. Weird behaviour for an antisemitic hate mob.
