As long as both partners actually want the same thing, there’s nothing wrong with it. The problem arises when there’s no real mutual understanding, and one person (often the woman in these situations) starts feeling like she has little say or her choice isn’t respected when the straightforward option is simply to leave.
lol
Oh, so marriage has no responsibilities/duties at all?
That’s exactly where the confusion is coming from.
Marriage is a voluntary agreement between two adults. When you choose to enter it, especially if you both say you want a family, certain responsibilities automatically come with that choice. They’re not forced on anyone, but they’re part of what you signed up for.
No put me for talk abeg😅 or you’re deliberately trying to be obtuse
Y’all keep talking about “choice” like somebody is holding you in chains. Who exactly is stopping you from doing whatever you want?
Please tell me who is stopping you?
The real issue is y’all treating responsibilities like they’re optional while still wanting all the benefits. Having responsibilities isn’t the same as being forced. It just means if you choose a certain path, you have to deal with what comes with it.
No man is forcing any woman to bear children. It’s not a must. But if you decide to get married and be with a man who wants a family, then having kids becomes part of that responsibility. You can’t turn around and say you don’t want kids when you’re capable of having them and still expect him to stay. If that’s not what you want, the simple solution is don’t be with him at all. Once you remove yourself from that arrangement, you no longer have that responsibility, and nobody can say you’re being forced.
The same rule applies to men. A man can’t say he wants to start a family then turn around and say he doesn’t want to work and provide for the most part. That becomes his responsibility the moment he chooses to begin a family. If he never wanted to work and provide, he shouldn’t have started a family in the first place.
Y’all need to use your brains. You can’t demand the benefits of a partnership while rejecting the responsibilities that come with it. You people just wanna eat your cake and have it, that’s really what this is😅
A woman’s body isn’t something men are entitled to. If you believe women owe you sex, you’re part of the problem that normalises rape culture. It really is that simple
@dreadheadmara@jiggyjayy2 😅I’m pretty sure I know enough to differentiate between a vagina that stinks and one that doesn’t.
This discourse is all just hilarious to me😅😅
by the time you fit afford your dream TV, you no go get time to dey watch tv,
by the time you fi afford your dream car, you go dey fly plane
by the time you for don guide to revenge, you go don find peace.
real matter.
You’re funny. 😂
Using your own logic, giving birth is only the beginning (bare minimum)😅
You still have to raise the child properly, and actually be a good parent
so why act like childbirth alone deserves a trophy? 😅
And let’s not conveniently forget that creating a child requires both a man and a woman. You need his sperm just as much as he needs your egg, but y’all act like one single-handedly accomplished the entire process. 😂
Men have historically carried enormous responsibility in building, protecting, and providing for families and society, yet you don’t see men demanding rewards for fulfilling their responsibilities. We understand that’s part of the role.
Appreciate childbirth, sure, but stop treating it like you’re owed a prize for it. Accept your role, raise the child right, and stop crying on the internet.
Dumbo
@NevaaThatt1@onlyone_success Men’s biological make up was never built to birth children you sick idiotic bitch.
Y’all want a trophy for doing the one thing your bodies were made to do? Huh😅
@xostargirl444@onlyone_success 😂 A lot of men die trying to provide for their families too. So the main thing that makes you a woman (giving birth) is what you want men to reward you for?
Delusional creatures😂
