My first hero. The first driver I ever wanted to be like. You were bigger than life. Since I was a kid, I dreamed that one day I could be like you too. I’m just one of the many kids you gave that dream to. And I never stopped looking up to you.
My heart is with Samantha, Brexton, and Lennix. The Busch family and friends. Your fans. And everyone at RCR.
There is no doubting that you gave everything you had. You left nothing on the table. You inspired me, gave me dreams, and helped me in ways I wish I got the chance to tell you. You’ll always be my first hero. And im going to miss you.
Kyle and I had a really challenging existence for many years. But we luckily took the time to figure out our differences and that was something he instigated with a conversation in his bus around how we each managed our racing teams. I was super eager for us to get on better terms. But it was he who made the effort for that to be possible. We did some media together also to laugh through some of the things we put each other through many years ago. Most recently we had even been discussing him running my Late Model at Wilkesboro this summer. He seemed extremely happy and we had planned to meet up next Thursday to get his seat to the shop. He laughed over the idea of his fans and JRM fans having to cheer in unison during that race.
Kyle was one of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history. No one can deny that. But he was also a father, a husband, brother, son, and a friend to many. My heart is broken for the Busch family. I will never be able to make sense of this loss but I am thankful that we had found a way to become friends.
Prayers for Kyle...why Austin Hill...Love is clearly better, and there's plenty of other drivers qualified that would give a much better chance and represent the sponsors in a more productive and positive way...Austin Hill is barely O'Reilly's material, maybe better suited for a truck or late model...but, RCR, you do you

This final tiny home is being delivered today to David Hostetter, a Vietnam veteran who lost his home in the storm.

No, it wasn’t an angel; Joshua is permitted to worship, told to take his sandals off because the place he stands is holy.

BEAR INDEPENDENTBRIEF
China's central bank has been buying gold for ten straight months, adding 60,000 ounces in August alone and bringing their total holdings to 74.02 million ounces worth $253.84 billion. This represents a record 7.64 percent of their total foreign exchange reserves. Meanwhile, they're steadily backing away from US debt, with Treasury holdings dropping from $780.2 billion to $756.4 billion over the past year. As Mohamed El-Erian, Allianz chief economic advisor, noted, "China released data today showing that its central bank has increased its gold holdings for the tenth consecutive month" as "part of a broader risk diversification strategy."
The global shift away from dollar-backed assets has accelerated dramatically since Russia's invasion of Ukraine. According to International Monetary Fund data, central banks in emerging markets have increased their gold purchases fivefold since the conflict began. Nearly half of Moscow's foreign exchange reserves were frozen by Western sanctions, sending shock waves through the global financial system and highlighting the vulnerability of dollar holdings. A macro strategist at Crescat Capital recently posted that "foreign central banks now officially hold more gold than US Treasuries for the first time since 1996," calling this shift "likely the beginning of one of the most significant global rebalancings we've experienced in recent history."This isn't just happening at the government level. Private investors are piling into gold as well, with SPDR Gold Shares attracting $11.3 billion in inflows this year and iShares Gold Trust pulling in $6.87 billion. Gold spot prices hit $3,632 an ounce recently, marking a 38.4 percent increase since early 2025 and putting the metal on track for its best year since 1978. The World Gold Council reports that 95 percent of central banks surveyed expect global gold reserves to increase over the next 12 months.
While other nations prepare for economic uncertainty by stockpiling real assets, America's job market is showing serious cracks. The latest employment report revealed just 22,000 jobs were added in August, with June's data revised to show an actual loss of 13,000 jobs—the first net loss since late 2020. Things get worse when you look at the bigger picture: US employers added 911,000 fewer jobs over the 12 months ending in March than previously estimated, marking what appears to be the largest revision ever recorded. And manufacturing, which was supposed to see a renaissance, has actually shed 78,000 jobs since the beginning of the year.
The economic pain is showing up in other indicators too. Lumber prices have dropped 23 percent since early August, falling to around $535 per thousand board feet—the lowest level for the year. This decline reflects an oversupply caused by stockpiling ahead of increased tariffs on Canadian softwood lumber, but also signals weakened demand in the housing market. Building permits have hit their lowest level since June 2020.

I meant to email this when it happened but... life. I wanted to share that your mindset of "Preservation of Life and Maintaining a Sense of Normalcy for our loved ones in moments of chaos" challenged me to be better prepared to render aid. A few months back we were dining with our family at a local restaurant. Shortly after ordering a waitress came to our area of the restaurant asking if there were any medical personnel available. An elderly gentleman in the other room had suffered cardia arrest. I have taken Stop the bleed courses (through RM), CPR, AED, and other more specific courses but am not a licensed EMT, Paramedic, Etc. With the shift in perspectives of being more prepared I had purchased a trauma bag and AED to keep in my truck on a permanent basis. I got up to see if I could assist. There were close to 250 people in that restaurant and the only two people who offered to help were a nurse and myself. There was no first aid kit available in the restaurant, much less an AED. The nurse went into action and immediately began CPR. I told her I was going to get my AED as she began chest compressions. By the time I got back she had his shirt open and ready for the adhesive electro pads. We connected him and let the AED do its thing. By the time EMS arrived we had gotten a pulse back and were able to inform the EMS techs of our situation. They secured him and loaded him in the ambulance and headed off to the ER. From the time someone called for help till we re-established a pulse was under 2 min. I don't know exactly how long it took for the EMS to arrive, but it was closer to 5-6 min. It amazed me that of all the people in that room, only two knew what to do, were prepared to do it, and actually did something. Early on, when my wife noticed I had an AED and a trauma kit in my truck, she would jokingly ask why I needed it. After the restaurant incident, she now understands and fully supports my efforts to be more prepared. While not Refuge equipment, your challenge to be better prepared for preserving life was my catalyst which ultimately helped save this man's life.

I just quoted 800 kits to a unit.
They bought a different brand 8 months ago, and those kits are falling apart, low to moderate use. They saved 10% on price by going overseas, from a company that every one of you has heard of.
Now, they’re buying Refuge to replace the kits they bought 8 months ago. We guarantee our shit forever. So much for “saved 10%” when you gotta buy it twice.
