As Kenya marks Saba Saba 2026, citizens across the country are once again raising their voices to defend the Constitution, human rights, and the sanctity of life. Saba Saba has long symbolized the struggle for democracy and accountable governance. Today, it also represents a collective demand for justice for victims of enforced disappearances, abductions, unlawful killings, and all forms of impunity.
Communities in informal settlements such as Mathare, Korogocho, Mukuru, Kibera, and many others continue to bear a heavy burden of violence and insecurity. Families whose loved ones remain missing are still searching for answers. Their pain should not be ignored, and every reported case deserves a prompt, transparent, and independent

After PS Fikirini Jacob's bodyguard shot Cecil Ouma a student at the Technical University of Mombasa in the PS's presence inside his car.

They threw him out of the car and drove to Ridgways in Kiambu Road where he cleaned his car, he later went to sarit centre where he bought new clothes!

The PS is yet to comment anything about the incident or even record a statement over Ouma's death.

He used the young man to mobilize youth at his event and later killed him for disagreeing with him over payment!
