A Haitian girl was killed in the Dominican Republic, and there’s evidence it may have been an anti-Haitian attack. What’s striking is how many people respond with: “Haitians die in Haiti all the time.”
This is a clean attempt to dehumanize.
It dismisses a crime instead of asking whether discrimination was involved.
And here’s the part they stay quiet about:
Children are dying in Haiti, many from guns and ammunition that enter through the Dominican border. Corrupt Dominican officers on that side have been linked to supplying Haitian gangs. That’s a documented issue, not a rumor.
So when people use Haiti’s crisis to justify indifference, but ignore how their own country contributes to that crisis, it stops being a “reaction.” It becomes a strategy: distract, deflect, and deny responsibility.
Haitian lives don’t matter less just because Haiti is in turmoil.
We ask for Haitian authorities to press on this matter, as not only the family but the Haitian community is waiting for an answer

You’re a real piece of shit.
People were so blindly racist and Islamophobic in the aftermath of 9/11 that Punjabi cab drivers were getting randomly assaulted bc they wore turbans and had beards.
@girlboyfagdyke gensrs black owned brands r the best bc they always keep things super pigmented so you don’t need to use a lot like Juvia’s Place. HUDA beauty is freaking awesome, Nyx and ELF are great cheap drugstore brands, and urban decay is just a classic .. for specific products i can dm!!!
@EruRoraito2000 what. dude i’m saying this figure should exist and im defending it from the perspective of a rape survivor. i literally own an anya plush.
i’m so tired of people treating stories depicting rape and rape victims as some sort of biohazard. we resonate with characters trauma too and stigmatizing something that brings victims comfort is exactly what rapists want. they want us to be quiet.
@TripleTrio96 It does! CBT therapy is used often, and Sometimes it’s just nice to see yourself in a character, even when your life has dark moments. It’s a reflection of you, of your empathy and connection towards the character, and a reminder that you aren’t alone. Here’s my Anya plush!!
