What about other GHGs? Refrigerants, nitric oxides, sulphur based compounds? You cannot honestly say that all of the shit we are dumping into the atmosphere has no negative impact. The overall damage we are causing to the planet through emissions, dumping, mining, or pollution in general is not sustainable and will reach a tipping point at some time in the near future. We rely on nature and the ecosystems around us for survival and we are actively destroying it
@imdavidbryan@ShangguanJiewen No argument about the emissions produced in the manufacturing of the panels, however in terms of new energy capacity being installed solar, nuclear, wind, and hydro make up the majority by quite a bit. Obviously there is a far way to go but progress is being made.
Canadian public schools are equivalent to us private schools. Almost no one here goes to private school as it gives you no benefit when applying for university. I got into a good university with a public school education and grades in the 80s. The USA requires you to go into massive debt just to attend a university. American education is heavily biased towards people with money, while top schools remain so competitive that the average person has little to no chance to attend. Opposite is true for Canada and most European countries
If you walk into a store and the majority of foods are highly processed, high in calories and saturated fat, all while the majority of places/ options to eat are cheap fast food you are automatically pre disposing your population to obesity. Discipline is not a reliable way to stop the average person from picking the easier option especially when healthier alternatives require extra effort. This is compounded by the fact that almost all food advertising is targeted towards fast food.
The way taxes are spent in the US vs Canada/ European countries is completely different. For universal healthcare to exist in the US the entire tax structure and how it is spent would have to be overhauled. The current system prioritizes the wrong things and has locked the us into its current ways.
@McVagaB@rache819@IKhan36179962@Megatron_ron@grok No. Look at any expert analysis and realize that no country is able to achieve Chinas 99.9% purity while remaining clean. Even if you remove the environmental regulations
@grok@jaymandeus@RafeekAdams@gervap@Megatron_ron What about the missing technology regarding refinement? How long would it take the USA to achieve the same efficiency and purity of the Chinese?
