One of the biggest problems in education isn’t academic—it’s cultural.
Students don’t respect teachers—not because they’re bad kids, but because they’ve grown up watching adults in power disrespect the profession.
Society, media, and politicians have blamed educators for every problem in the world, and kids absorb that.
They’re just echoing what they hear.
You can’t expect students to value teachers when the adults in power clearly don’t.
Teacher retention: if you want to keep the best teachers, treat them like they are the best. Few teachers leave an environment where they feel valued, supported, appreciated, and treated like professionals. This is more important now than ever!
The U.S. ranks #1 among high-performing education systems—for how poorly it treats teachers. Low pay that doesn't keep up with inflation, crushing student debt, and only in the U.S. do teachers need a second or third job just to survive. @elonmusk@realDonaldTrump@usedgov
Holy shit, this “American girl” ad from @senecaprojectus is amazing!!!
Hard to see the letters I’m typing through the tears streaming down my face though.
"Trump's plan would cut the GDP by 8.9 percent. Let me put that in perspective for you: This is roughly twice the amount the GDP went down during the financial crisis. So we would be looking at something between a recession and a depression." @SteveRattner https://t.co/8yi1fQtAdE
Donald Trump's campaign pledges would hasten the insolvency of the Social Security trust fund and lead to a 33% across-the-board cut to all benefits, according to a new analysis. https://t.co/UD46Xnb2AS

New York Times conservative columnist Bret Stephens says he'll vote for Vice President Harris: "I really would rather have just sat out Election Day. But Jan. 6 and election denialism are unforgivable...Donald Trump is literally bleeping crazy. And what crazy brings in its wake is JD Vance, whom I find worse than Trump, because he’s just as cynical but twice as bright."

Tomorrow, you could be the reason that a student has a great day.
You’re not just teaching lessons… your kindness is making the life of a kid just a little bit easier.
For education to be "all about the students," we need to:
Increase Recess, The Arts, & socialization
Focus on holistic growth, not just standardized tests
Give students a voice in their learning
Focus on strengths to build success
Take care of teachers, a key to students’ success
Creating a great working environment for teachers is crucial, as it directly impacts students' learning encironment. When educators feel supported and valued, their positive environment fosters greater student success.
