@cfbechara Carlos, there’s a push for smoke evac cautery nationally. Not a fan of these because they’re clunky, noisy, and expensive. There is no real data on this- possibly beneficial for breast cases and condyloma. Think bouffant caps...

Also, all ESP programs are at institutions with large numbers of chief residents where the pain of loosing a chief resident to vascular is not as acute.
