People have let the streaming era and microwave era dictate to their brains that a song shouldn’t last longer than a hot second anymore. I remember Bad Boy and Rocafella and Snoop had songs rocking for entire years. Entire seasons. Nowadays, if a hit song that just came out 2-3 months ago is still rocking beyond that time, y’all say “ok man it’s getting corny”. It’s ain’t yall fault tho. This instant gratification era we are in has influenced y’all and ruined your attention spans. The “Not Like Us” hype isn’t “hype” at all. It isn’t doctored, it isn’t fake, it isn’t some record label strategic marketing ploy or manipulation tactic. It’s just a great song that the majority loves so I hate to be the bearer of bad news for y’all…but this song ain’t dying off no time soon.
