It took several days to count every ballot in 2020, and it’s very likely we won’t know the outcome tonight either. So please keep a few things in mind as you make your voice heard today:

– Thousands of election workers around the country are working hard today. Respect them. Thank them. 

– Don’t share things before checking your sources. 

– Let the process run its course. It takes time to count every ballot.

Class last night was wonderful. They had some healthy debates about joy in the classroom and love-centered learning environments. They also said I was lying about my age when it came up, and because flattery works on me, they're definitely all passing 😆😆😆

As much as I facilitate workshops, present at conferences, have speaking engagements, I am realizing how much I missed teaching. There is such a difference between distrubuting knowledge as the "expert" in the presenter role and being on the journey that occurs in the classroom.

How do you feel about having to pay a registration fee for a conference that accepted your proposal to speak?

I talk a bit about this in my dissertation and wrote a book chapter about how glass cliffs impact the Black women in leadership.

All that to say, sometimes it helps to just name a thing and recognize that it's a phenomenon and not just made up in your mind. 4/4

So we know the term glass ceiling and maybe even the term concrete ceiling, but there's another that isn't used as much, but is very relevant right now and that is glass cliff. 1/4

I'll be teaching at two universities in the Fall. For one class, I am drafting my weekly announcements for my semester 🤓 Because I was a student in this program, I have a few tips and tricks for my class during particular weeks. I hope my advice is helpful.
