The S&P 500 Topped Yesterday on January 28, 2026

My forecast is that the S&P 500 will form a head & shoulders top scenario. Expect a decline of 20% or more from the top at 7,002, likely unfolding over the next 8–12 weeks. Then a huge bear market rally to form the right shoulder.

$24.35 is what $INTC traded at when I posted this.

For an entire year and a half after this, Intel traded sideways, with many volatile downturns.

Many have been holding and averaging down through the break under $20. I will take a victory lap around the conviction at $100, but I will certainly celebrate the breakaway narrative shift that has taken Intel to ~$47 now. 138%!

This stock showed no hope, but a lot of growth opportunity, and frankly the company felt like it was on the wrong track while running full steam ahead. For most, there was no reason to hold or buy more.

Narratives change. It takes time. Execution gets better. I credit LBT for the turnaround and operational trimming of fat. But, I credit Pat Gelsinger for the Foundry push. It was a great vision that maybe became misunderstood (even by me) because execution never came to fruition, largely driven by lack of BoD support. That should have been the fat to be removed first.

Moral of the story: Conviction matters, but emotions sometimes prevail. The market feeds on intraday uncertainty. It is what makes making money in capital markets the most difficult. But if you can subside emotional bias and continue asking, “is this conviction rooted in the company’s ability to execute?”, then you will likely outperform and out-will the non-believers.

NVDA - 4hr chart analysis 💛

My target for this chart is 🎯$155.55

The Inverse Head and Shoulders consolidation pattern at the Banana325SMA is one of my favorite setups as it - by then - has drowned out everyone’s belief.

The job of this pattern is to make everyone believe there will be no good price action just before - you guessed it - good price action 😘

Every positive divergence that should be developing at this consolidation that I’d like to see is occurring. MACD is already above where price previously was at that juncture and RSI is already uptrending and refusing to make a lower low

I believe NVDA is right near the tippy point of where this pattern can be explosive and it ironically precedes the usual run up into the CES event on the fundamental and calendar side of things 🤔

Everyone has called the top and the end of NVDA especially with recent price action… job complete 😉

Again, if you want levels without the guess work, use @satymahajan ATR levels for day trades, multiday, swings, etc... All you have to do is make sure "use current close" is on, mark your levels and then turn it off at or before opening bell... Really, really helpful tool and accurate.

This is where it all started.

20 years ago we were broke, I had just dropped out of college, she was beautiful and I was stupid.

I’m reminded on days like today to stay grounded, humble and remember where I started my adult life.

I had no clue what I would do other than I knew I would figure it out. I thank God everyday I was lucky enough to have someone who believed in me the way my wife does.

She never said “you really need to settle down and get an actual career.” If anything she said “Do it. Go after the dream.”

I’m still not sure how I wound up here, but a lot of little steps turned into a crazy journey.

So if you’re struggling and reading this, I just want you to know you can anything you put your mind to.

There will be mistakes, failures, and plenty of lessons along the way, but you can make it if you stay focused, disciplined and a positive mindset.

So on a day it’s easy to look like I’m something special, I’m not. I don’t have all the answers. Just a dude on the internet trying hard for his family, just like you.

Tomorrow is a new day.

A new start.

We get to decide what we make of it.
