Liz Cheney lost.
The GOP continues to die. Mitt Romney, John Curtis, Blake Moore, Spencer Cox mourn silently.
The GQP continues to grow in power. Mike Lee, Chris Stewart, Burgess Owens, Stuart Adams dance with glee that Donald Trump will be the 2024 GQP nominee for POTUS.
I didn’t really like Liz Cheney before 2020. Thought she was a warmongering neocon, supported torture, etc. but at least she proved her principles were real, she had a spine. Kevin McCarthy is the biggest jellyfish I’ve ever seen.
R.I.P. Wolfgang Petersen, director of DAS BOOT and THE NEVERENDING STORY, and more recently, TROY and POSEIDON. From '93 to '97, he directed IN THE LINE OF FIRE, OUTBREAK, and AIR FORCE ONE, so yeah, he was one of the greats.
@jedizaugg When they have their taxes raised, they can say they'll just raise prices, but if they do, and customers find they no longer want their goods at those prices, they'll lower them back down.
@jedizaugg When corporations have their taxes lowered, they do not lower prices to pass the savings on to their consumers, they lower prices is when the demand is not as great as their supply.
Decided to kill time by watching the first half of The Lords of Flatbush (1974) starring Perry King, Sylvester Stallone, Henry Winkler and Paul Mace as 1950’s high school gang members.
Winkler said he based the Fonz on Stallone's portrayal in TLOF. Anyway, it's an interesting cultural artifact, where if it didn't launch the careers of Stallone and Winkler, it wouldn't be remembered near as much as it is.
