What's the best-case scenario on a dark Monday for the 2-0 Bengals?
1. Jake Browning can do what he did taking over for Burrow in 2023 and keep the record around .500 the rest of the way.
2. Burrow recovers well and returns in December. Despite being thrust from rehab field to playoff hunt, he quickly snaps into midseason form and Cincinnati finds a way into the playoffs.
3. Bengals end up with their full imagined group entering the postseason together and Burrow having a few weeks of games under his belt.
This is about as best-case as it gets. The reality is it is a leap of faith to think any of these will happen.
RIP Charlie Kirk. It doesn’t matter what your opinion is of Charlie or his politics if you don’t view this as one of the darkest days in American history than you are part of the problem.
The Chiefs taking a dive today is a lowlight of this NFL season.
Whether their incentive was only rest or also blocking the dreaded Bengals from the playoffs, it’s just a supremely bad look— and likely self-sabotaging— for a team hoping to three-peat.
