@MatthewHalsted Dr. Halsted, Iβve deeply appreciated your work, The End of the World as You Know It. I wrote a respectful theological reflection engaging your reading of John 14 and would love to send it to you if youβre open to it. Is there a preferred channel through which I could reach you?
Jesus did not demonstrate the aspects of His ministry (teaching, healing, exorcism, love, power, prayer) for us to pick from and specialize in a few.
He simply has shown us what both Christian leaders and the world we're ministering to need.
There's no success without ALL.

The greatest need of an unbeliever is salvation.
The greatest need of a believer is spiritual development.
The greatest need of a hungry unbeliever is not food, it is still salvation.
The greatest need of a poor believer is not money, it is still spiritual development.

God has made us all complimentarily resourceful in several areas, every one with their strength.
It is our responsibility to deploy our gifting to bring to life God's desires.
That is why there can be no competition in the church.
Everyone contributes for our work to be done.
With respect to God's house and mission;
If you see others as important and yourself as unimportant, that's HUMILIATION.
If you see yourself as important and others as unimportant, that's PRIDE.
HUMILITY then is seeing yourself as well as others to be important.

God's call to specific assignments will not always be spectacular. All that is supernatural isn't spectacular.
God's direction, instructions don't always have to be dramatic.
Many times, it is resistance that causes a whale to swallow a man. Simple is supernatural. Trust it.
The speculations around the end-times typically develop with the reigning technology.
That is what is wrong!
The mark of the beast has been associated with Barcodes, Credit Cards, the Internet, Covid-19 Vaccine, now it's AI.
We shouldn't do that. We'll always be wrong!

What do we really love?
1. The Party (APC, PDP, LP, ADC)
2. The Candidate (Tinubu, Abubakar, Obi)
3. The Country (Nigeria)
4. Our own personal gain
Somehow, in the current political climate, everyone belongs somewhere and it is reflective in the fights, the banter, the silence.
Find time to play.
Make time to exercise.
Be consistent with prayers.
Laugh as much as you can.
Ensure you're serving the Lord, building something and glowing peacefully as you grow.
Take things easy. One step at a time.

Your relationship with God and commitment to God does not have to suffer for you to make it in life.
If you have to slaughter your walk with God for affluence, you don't have a great mind or life.
You've simply lost where it matters the most.
We find things to blame to feel less bad and to feel like we're not responsible for the lack of results.
But then, nobody hands us results 'coz we have excuses that make us feel less responsible for our own failures.
If there are no results, don't blame, take responsibility.
Profound growth is rooted in TAKING INITIATIVE.
Everything the believer has to report to a leader must be targeted towards building that ability to take initiative.
