@MoEgger Boo, even if you call it play in. It gives committee more excuses to leave mid majors out of the guaranteed 64 slots (or 58 whatever) so those slots can go to teams 9-12 of the Power 5 conferences. They can say, “we gave another team from A10/WAC/MVC etc a chance to play!”

@JoshSchertzSLU It’s a fine line btw cynicism& trust. I leaning towards trust but understand the realities of big time athletics. Only so much transparency can be expected. Contract was a big step&the buyout clause offers insurance. But have to accept this will be annual ritual w/cont. success.

@MichiganMan88 @Chillinduhmost @MustardTiger555 & Not to discount the Dayton Elite 8 run, but SLU had 4-2 record against them in the 2011-12 season through 2013-14 season. Finally, from a non-bball standpoint, SLU has great sports resume incl M/W soccer, baseball, softball. Decent swim team. I think BE would be a great fit.
