In today’s video meeting, one employee’s background was completely different.
Not his usual bookshelf and plants, just a Zoom backdrop of a tropical island.
People notice these things, especially me.
During the call I asked him if he could take the fake background off.
He said he was working from his childhood bedroom since he was home for the holidays.
I told him that was okay, but transparency is one of our core values, and asked him to remove the background.
He said "Okay, if you say so," and removed the background to reveal a wall behind him littered with posters of scantily clad models.
I immediately asked him to put the tropical island backdrop back and apologized to everyone on the call.
I scheduled a 1:1 with him to talk about him sharing NSFW content with the team.
Security is not convenient or cheap.
Know what’s worse?
-notifying your customers their data has been leaked.
-having your crown jewels leaked from cyber criminals
-paying cyber criminals ransom
-paying for the aftermath of your short-sidedness
Digital ransom and data theft is becoming a serious issue in Trinidad and Tobago. What are we doing about Cybersecurity (lord knows the cybercrime bill somewhere colleckin dust)… policy?
Do businesses invest in cybersecurity?!?
Imo TSTT execs should be axed.
Data breaches of STATE owned enterprises must be thoroughly investigated, executives must be held accountable (where required) robust cybersecurity measures need to be adopted…
Transparency in what has happened , what is to be done and what has been done is imperative…
Attorney General and affiliated departments got hacked earlier this year (justice system and delivery of essential services affected)
Now TSTT (telecommunications)
Both of these entities hold so much citizen data. Yet there has been no true transparency in either situation…
Woman collapsed on the pavement bleeding from her head. I parked, controlled the situation (others were fretting) and stopped cuts on her head .
Whilst she was going in and out of consciousness she made a racist remark at me. I literally have her blood on me. Welcome to the UK.
@ttutc please change back to the old website…
This new site y’all implemented is mad buggy … and somehow has like 90% less features than the old website …
Very frustrating to deal with
