Stranded in a homeless shelter parking lot, rescued by a hitchhiking adventure and a 4:30 a.m. Waffle House delivery after a wild journey.
If you thought Miami and VT had a wild Friday night, let me introduce you to ETSU football and @CoachTreLamb9. https://t.co/6dqEWqWf5E
We are out of the flood trap. @ETSUFootball is beyond the flood/headed to Charleston. We arrive at 5AM. We were stranded for 14 hours. It got very scary on some low ground for a few hours, we had to find high ground. Shoutout to our bus drivers, athletic trainers, staff, officers for keeping everyone calm. There was a random guy Ryan Ratliff that gave our coaches a ride to find shelter and came back to the refuge to let us know the highway was open. We had no access to any information. Hero. Shoutout to @ingles for providing us with 100 sandwiches and fruit at 6pm. No service, no internet, no hotel. Have yet to speak with families or loved ones but we are on the way and ready to play @Citadel1842 whenever they decide. Prayers for all affected. What an awful storm we saw first hand. Lots of stranded families. π
