As someone who has had to live out of their vehicle for approximately 6 months on two separate occasions, this is the most fucked up thing I’ve ever seen.
In Tennessee, sleeping in your own car can land you in prison for six years.
Not a fine. Not a warning. A felony.
Cities across the US keep passing ordinances that ban sleeping in vehicles, and the people getting caught are the ones with nowhere else to go. You lose the apartment, you keep the car, and the car becomes the last thing standing between you and the sidewalk. Then the law shows up and makes that a crime too.
The logic folds in on itself. Punish someone for being homeless by handing them a record that makes housing and work even harder to get.
A blanket in a back seat. Six years.
@OMGTheMess Very tired of this faggot nursing home society. Tired of virtue signalling democracy as a moral totem. Understand that the growing resurgence of far right ideologies is because these people can see the entire beach where you can only see a grain of sand.
@FreedomAus80100 Honestly: tired of this faggot nursing home society. Tired of virtue signalling democracy as a moral totem. The blood god demands a blood sacrifice to correct the order of nature. Total war on all mankind. Annihilate everything that exists and hang these fucking idiots.
It's obvious that the Covid response changed our lives and our politics in huge ways, constitutes this enormous caesura, and this fact is hardly ever discussed or analysed, just a completely forbidden topic in establishment discourse because so many are complicit.
@quiet_homeboy I had a substitute teacher first year out of primary school who confiscated a Tasmanian Devil plush toy from someone and nestled it into her bra. Risqué behaviour. 10/10 childhood memory.
