What If We've Been Asking the Wrong Question?
The Bible begins beneath a sky filled with stars. It ends before a throne surrounded by every nation. Between those two scenes is one breathtaking story of a God who keeps His promises.
❖ What Was the First Great Controversy in the Church?
Jerusalem is alive.
The Temple courts are crowded.
The apostles are preaching.
Thousands have believed (Acts 2:41; 4:4).
Every follower of Jesus is Jewish.
Now ask yourself...
What was the first great controversy in the Church?
Many Christians assume it was,
"Can Jews believe in Jesus?"
It wasn't.
Jesus was Jewish.
The apostles were Jewish.
The first disciples were Jewish.
The first churches were overwhelmingly Jewish.
The question that astonished the early Church was something altogether different.
Could Gentiles belong to God's people simply by believing in Israel's Messiah?
That single question unlocks Acts.
It explains Galatians.
It illuminates Ephesians.
And it makes Romans 11 come alive.
Come with me.
Let's watch the answer unfold.
❖ Why Did Peter Hesitate?
Peter pauses outside the home of Cornelius.
A Roman officer.
A Gentile.
Everything in his upbringing tells him not to cross the threshold.
Yet God has already spoken through a vision.
So Peter enters and says,
"God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean" (Acts 10:28).
Before Peter even finishes speaking, the Holy Spirit falls upon everyone listening (Acts 10:44).
The Jewish believers who came with him are "amazed" because the gift of the Holy Spirit has been poured out on Gentiles too (Acts 10:45).
Don't miss Luke's point.
God answered the question before the Church finished debating it.
❖ Why Did Jerusalem Have to Hold a Council?
The news spread quickly.
Some believers insisted Gentiles had to be circumcised and keep the Law of Moses (Acts 15:1, 5).
The apostles gathered.
Peter spoke.
Paul and Barnabas described what God had done among the nations.
The room grew quiet.
Then James stood.
"We should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God" (Acts 15:19).
Peter had already captured the heart of it:
"We believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will" (Acts 15:11).
Grace settled the controversy.
God keeps His promises.
But one question still remained.
Why had this surprised everyone?
❖ Was This Really God's Plan All Along?
Now travel back almost two thousand years.
An elderly shepherd lifts his eyes into a sky so crowded with stars he cannot count them.
He has no heir.
No nation.
No land.
Only the voice of God.
"In you all the families of the earth shall be blessed" (Gen. 12:3).
Did you notice?
The promise always reached beyond Abraham's own descendants.
Isaiah later declared that Messiah would become "a light for the nations" so God's salvation would reach "the end of the earth" (Isa. 49:6).
Paul looked back and made an astonishing observation:
"The Scripture... preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham" (Gal. 3:8).
The nations were never an afterthought.
God chose Abraham not instead of the nations...
But for the sake of the nations.
God keeps His promises.
❖ So Where Did We Fit Into the Story?
Paul reminds Gentile believers where we once stood.
We were "strangers to the covenants of promise" and "without hope and without God in the world" (Eph. 2:12).
Then everything changes.
"But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ" (Eph. 2:13).
Notice what Paul doesn't say.
He doesn't say God abandoned His promises.
He says we were brought near.
Grace didn't replace the story.
Grace welcomed us into it.
❖ Then Why Does Paul Talk About an Olive Tree?
Because pictures often teach better than propositions.
Paul doesn't describe two trees.
He describes one.
"You... were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree" (Rom. 11:17).
Notice what Paul never says.
He never says the root changed.
He never says God planted a Gentile tree.
He never says Israel was replaced.
Wild branches were graciously grafted into a tree God had been cultivating for centuries.
As Arnold Fruchtenbaum has often emphasized, Gentile believers share in Israel's spiritual blessings without becoming Israel itself.
Paul's picture is one of participation, not replacement.
We are not the root.
We are grateful branches.
❖ Then Why Does Paul Warn Us?
Because grace can produce either gratitude...
Or pride.
Paul's warning is unmistakable.
"Do not be arrogant toward the branches" (Rom. 11:18).
Again,
"Do not become proud, but fear" (Rom. 11:20).
Why?
Because,
"It is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you" (Rom. 11:18).
James echoes the same truth:
"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6).
The olive tree leaves no room for boasting.
Only humility.
Only gratitude.
Only worship.
❖ Has God Finished with Israel?
Paul asks the question himself.
"Has God rejected His people?" (Rom. 11:1)
His answer is immediate.
"By no means!"
Then he explains why.
"The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable" (Rom. 11:29).
Jeremiah had already declared that Israel would endure as long as the fixed order of the sun, moon, and stars remains (Jer. 31:35-37).
God's faithfulness to the Gentiles does not weaken His faithfulness to Israel.
It demonstrates it.
God keeps His promises.
❖ How Does the Story End?
John sees what Abraham could only imagine.
"A great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages" (Rev. 7:9).
The promise has reached the nations.
Then John sees the New Jerusalem.
Its gates bear the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.
Its foundations bear the names of the twelve apostles (Rev. 21:12-14).
The story comes full circle.
The promise spoken beneath Abraham's stars has become a multitude before God's throne.
❖ So Who Is the Hero of the Story?
The first-century Church wasn't trying to figure out whether Jews could believe in Jesus.
They already were.
They were discovering something far more wonderful.
The God of Abraham was welcoming the nations through Israel's Messiah, exactly as He had promised from the beginning.
The Hero of this story is not Abraham.
Not Peter.
Not Paul.
Not Israel.
Not the Church.
The Hero is the God who keeps every promise He makes.
No wonder Paul could only conclude with worship:
"Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable His ways!" (Rom. 11:33)

BREAKING: Charlie Kirk Hater Ryan Clark Gets FIRED Midway Through Show-Taping at ESPN
Notorious anti-conservative “sports” commentator Ryan Clark just got the bad news: He is no longer going to be spouting his partisan nonsense on ESPN.
His job was terminated midway through taping NFL Live.
ESPN had reportedly planned to inform Clark on Tuesday morning that he was being let go.
But he was notified on-set so that he would not read about his firing online without hearing it from ESPN first.
Ryan Clark has faced persistent criticism for injecting race-baiting into sports debates.
In May 2025, during a feud over comments on Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, he dismissed Robert Griffin III's criticism of Reese by referencing RG3's marriage to a white woman, implying it distanced him from understanding Black women's experiences.
He later apologized on the same podcast, saying he was “out of line” and “out of bounds.”
But no controversy was bigger than Clark lashing out at Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry over his proposal for LSU to build a Charlie Kirk statue.
"First off, it's the second-most ridiculous thing he said this week. The first was standing on campus and saying he wanted to put a statue up with somebody that doesn't represent the people of Louisiana, doesn't represent the players and the students at LSU, doesn't represent the executives that worked there. That was the first dumb thing he said this week. This is the second-dumbest amongst a lot of dumb things that he says."
You know who doesn’t represent ESPN? Ryan Clark.
Meanwhile, Charlie Kirk continues to represent tens of millions of God-fearing Americans who love their country and who will not miss his divisive rhetoric at ESPN.
Sixteen Times Zechariah Said, "In That Day."
What if one repeated phrase unlocked the final act of human history?
One prophet.
One phrase.
Repeated sixteen times.
One future day.
"In that day..."
Most people read Zechariah as a collection of disconnected prophecies.
It isn't.
That phrase is the prophet's drumbeat, carrying us toward one climactic period when God intervenes in history to fulfill His promises to Israel, judge the nations, and establish the reign of His Messiah.
For nearly 2,500 years, Zechariah has pointed to "that day."
❖ The Prophecy Climbs
It begins with Jerusalem.
"I will make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling."
Zechariah 12:2
Then the horizon widens.
"An immovable rock for all the nations."
Zechariah 12:3
Then divine intervention.
"I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem."
Zechariah 12:9
Then comes one of the most astonishing prophecies in Scripture.
"They will look on Me, the One they have pierced."
Zechariah 12:10
David foresaw it.
"They pierced my hands and my feet."
Psalm 22:16
Isaiah explained it.
"He was pierced for our transgressions."
Isaiah 53:5
John identified the Messiah.
"They will look on the One they have pierced."
John 19:37
Revelation completes the picture.
"Every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him."
Revelation 1:7
Then comes national cleansing.
"On that day a fountain will be opened... to cleanse them from sin and impurity."
Zechariah 13:1
Then history reaches its turning point.
"His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives."
Zechariah 14:4
The very mountain from which Jesus ascended.
"This same Jesus... will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven."
Acts 1:11-12
Living waters then flow from Jerusalem.
Zechariah 14:8
Exactly as Ezekiel and Joel foretold.
Ezekiel 47:1-12
Joel 3:18
Finally...
The prophecy reaches its summit.
"The LORD will be King over all the earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and His name the only name."
Zechariah 14:9
Daniel saw this kingdom.
"His dominion is an everlasting dominion."
Daniel 7:13-14
Isaiah proclaimed it.
"The government will be on His shoulders... there will be no end."
Isaiah 9:6-7
David celebrated it.
"You will rule them with an iron scepter."
Psalm 2:8-9
John witnessed its arrival.
"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah."
Revelation 11:15
The prophets are not telling different stories.
They are telling one story from different mountaintops.
❖ This Has Never Happened
The Mount of Olives has never split in two.
Living waters have never flowed from Jerusalem.
The Lord has never reigned over all the earth from Jerusalem.
The nations have never gone up year after year to worship the King and celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
Zechariah 14:16
These are not vague symbols.
They are concrete events.
History has never witnessed them.
❖ Why This Matters Today
When Zechariah wrote, Jerusalem was a small city in the Persian Empire.
How could one city become the focal point of the world?
Today, that question no longer seems impossible.
Jerusalem sits at the center of international diplomacy.
The Temple Mount remains one of the world's most contested places.
The nations continually debate Israel's future.
Regional conflicts threaten to widen.
Antisemitism is rising around the globe.
None of these events fulfill Zechariah's prophecy.
But for the first time in history...
They make the world he described remarkably plausible.
For centuries, skeptics could ask, "How could this ever happen?" Today, they can no longer ask that question.
The stage exists.
The actors are present.
The world can now envision what seemed unimaginable for centuries.
❖ The Covenant Story
Zechariah is not introducing a new promise.
He is bringing together promises God has been making since Genesis.
The Abrahamic Covenant.
Genesis 12:1-3; 15:18-21; 17:7-8
The Davidic Covenant.
2 Samuel 7:12-16
The New Covenant.
"I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah."
Jeremiah 31:31-37
The regathering.
Ezekiel 36:24-28; 37:21-28
Zechariah shows the day these covenant promises are publicly vindicated before the nations.
❖ Jesus Told Us to Watch
Prophecy was not given so we could set dates.
It was given so we would recognize the season.
Jesus said,
"Keep watch."
Matthew 24:42
Paul wrote,
"You... are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief."
1 Thessalonians 5:4
The goal is not speculation.
It is hope.
Readiness.
Faithfulness.
❖ One Story. One King. One Day.
David sang of it. (Psalm 2:6-9)
Isaiah proclaimed it. (Isaiah 2:2-4)
Jeremiah promised it. (Jeremiah 1:31-37)
Ezekiel described it. (Ezekiel 36:24-28)
Daniel foresaw it. (Daniel 2:44)
Joel echoed it. (Joel 3:2)
Zechariah repeated it... sixteen times. (Zechariah 12-14)
Jesus promised it. (Matthew 24:29-31)
John witnessed it. (Revelation 11:15; 19:11-16)
History is moving toward it.
Every prophet points to the same horizon.
History is not moving toward chaos.
It is moving toward a King.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS?
👉🏼June 15, 2026: President Trump announced a preliminary agreement with Iran aimed at ending the war and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
👉🏼Israel Left Out: Israel was reportedly excluded from negotiations, with Prime Minister Netanyahu stating he did not yet know the full details of the agreement.
👉🏼Major Israeli Concerns: The deal does not address Iran's ballistic missile program or its regional proxy network. Iran's pledge not to develop nuclear weapons just like previous commitments that were never succesful. The agreement also includes plans for a reconstruction fund of at least $300 billion for Iran.
👉🏼Trump-Netanyahu Rift: Tensions became public as Trump criticized Netanyahu over military actions that threatened the negotiations, emphasizing the imbalance in the U.S.-Israel relationship.
👉🏼Israeli Opposition: Israel has continued military operations in Lebanon, while several Israeli officials, media outlets, and citizens have condemned the agreement as a betrayal that was negotiated without Israeli input.
🔔This is what we are watching: The beginning of Zachariah 12:3 take place!!
📖"And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for ALL PEOPLE: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it."
🌍Notice God says ALL nations will eventually turn against Jerusalem. Even allies. Even America. The prophetic word has always been that Israel will stand ALONE in the last days — with only God. What we are watching is the beginning of that isolation. The US just cut a deal with Israel's existential enemy, handed them $300 billion in reconstruction funds, and left Israel out of the room. That is not friendship. That is the gradual fulfillment of Zechariah's word. We are watching that isolation BEGIN!!!
The Threat Remains!
🩸Remember the Elam prophecy, the bow must be bent and broken, but not eliminated. We know very well that Iran is a spiritual principality that cannot be dismantled by B-52 —only GOD can bring it down!! One of the ways He is doing that is from the inside. Today, Iran is home to one of the largest and fastest-growing underground churches in the world. While the regime remains, the Gospel continues to advance, and lives are being saved and transformed by Jesus Christ.
We also know that Iran must return to the prophetic stage in Ezekiel 38. For now, Khamenei is dead, but the regime lives on. His son is in power, and hundreds of kilograms of 60% enriched uranium remain in Iran.
🏹The bow is still hanging—only the hand holding it has changed.
👉🏼Israel stands more alone than ever, still acting independently. Netanyahu’s clear message: “We will do what is necessary.” That is a nation being prepared to trust God alone. That is not a crisis. That is a SETUP.
THIS IS THE PROPHETIC SETUP FOR EZEKIEL 38 — THE WAR OF GOG AND MAGOG
Ezekiel 38 gives us one of the clearest pictures of what happens next. Look at how precisely it lines up RIGHT NOW:
📖“In the latter years you will come into the land that is restored from war, whose people were gathered from many nations… they will be living securely, all of them — without walls and having no bars or gates.” Ezekiel 38:8
So this is what Ezekiel is showing us:
✔️1️⃣ The latter years — We are living in those days.
✔️2️⃣ Israel regathered from the nations after nearly 2,000 years of exile — this began to be fulfilled in 1948 and continues today.
✔️3️⃣ Restoration from war — After WWII Israel developed into a prosperous and highly advanced nation. Today it is a global leader in technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, medical innovation, and agricultural development.
✔️👉🏼4️⃣👈🏼 Growing isolation from former allies — Nations (including unexpected ones) begin to turn away from Israel or make deals contrary to its interests. WE ARE HERE watching this stage unfold right now with the U.S.-Iran agreement.
5️⃣ A time of apparent security — Israel will seem to be living in relative peace and safety. This could potentially be connected to the Abraham Accords if more countries sign on, or perhaps even to this U.S.-Iran agreement after the 60 days. We know that this will ultimately lead to—or be part of—Daniel 9's "covenant with many," which will be confirmed by the Antichrist.
👉🏼WE ARE LONG GONE BY THE TIME THE COVENANT IS SIGNED BY THE ANTICHRIST! 👈🏼
6️⃣ Then the sudden invasion — A massive coalition led by Gog of the land of Magog (Russia and its allies), Persia (Iran), Turkey, Libya, Sudan, and others will be drawn in "with hooks in their jaws" by God Himself. They will come like a storm cloud to plunder what appears to be a vulnerable Israel.
💡The chapter is crystal clear: This invasion happens when Israel looks isolated and "secure" NOT when she is at the height of military strength with strong allies. The very moment the world thinks Israel is alone and exposed — that is when God steps in with supernatural intervention. We are seeing the stage being built for exactly that moment!!!
🔊Church: I know it’s painful to watch Iran’s regime not being eliminated, but that’s something God needs to do. We cry out for justice, and He will take care of that!! No B-52s are going to do it. No removal of uranium will do it. This is a spiritual principality. God is moving the pieces and allowing nations to be moved away from Israel so that He Himself will be the one who saves and gives them the first chance TO TURN TO HIM AND GIVE HIM THE GLORY HE DESERVES! This is GOD'S SETUP, and before He starts dealing with Israel, WE WILL BE OUT!! THE ULTIMATE SETUP IS HERE!! KEEP PRAYING, KEEP PREACHING THE GOSPEL, AND KEEP LOOKING UP!! OUR REDEMPTION DRAWS NEAR!!
