That home run answer has the added benefit of ACTUALLY answering the question. Compared to that possible answer, I thought Newsom going after DeSantis for fracking was a weak dribbler up the 1st base line.
Just sayin'
Overall, I thought @GavinNewsom did a great job. He was the clear winner, but that energy question was a hanging curveball that he should have smashed into McCovey cove.
A short 🧵
If course CA leads the nation in solar generation, but in the next 3 yrs the amount of new solar will TRIPLE the amount of new natural gas generation in Gov. DeSantis's own Sunshine State.

My thoughts are with my friends in the McKenzie Bridge area who are evacuating from the #LookoutFire tonight and with the brave folks fighting it and other fires in the area and around the state. Stay safe, everyone!
This is the first time this has happened, but it won't be the last. The Treasury Department released its preliminary guidance on how non-profits, tribes, and state and local governments can receive a 30% payment for installing solar and wind!
@dirquez Have Dems offered to remove the emergency clause from HB2002 to allow Rs to file a referendum petition IF the bill even passes? Seems like a reasonable place to start.🤷🏽♂️
@dirquez Dirk, please go ask Senate Rs why they no longer believe in majority rule as a feature of democracy. Keep asking until they give you a straight answer.
