@sibarnes2000 @davidflatman State schools. If class sizes are 30 then we will need an extra 8000 teachers but am not sure where these will come from given the shortage that we already have!

@sibarnes2000 @davidflatman Maybe we could look at the only time that VAT has been applied to education which was in Greece in 2015 which led to schools closing, teachers being made redundant and an overwhelmed state sector.

The £1.6 billion will equate to about an extra £50000 per state school which is about 1.5 new teachers per school. If you apply the Greek model to the UK there will be an extra 250 000 children entering

Looks like Eddie Jones has started the process of executing his exit plan by attacking public schools. He has been in the position for 7 years as he indicates in his interview with @TheTelegraph__ yet is only bringing this up now that he is looking beyond his failing tenure!

So if Liverpool draw 5-5 and City lose 6-0, both sides would finish level on points, goal difference and goals scored. The first tie-breaker is head-to-head records – they drew 2-2 twice this season. The second tie-breaker is away goals in head-to-head games, which is also level.
