@quibvs give him a pass he’s still gen z at the end of the day

[jes @jesckerley]

@rumblescams @nerd_cookies just because you can’t envision something playing out differently than it does in the book doesn’t mean that an experienced film director can’t. me and the many other normal dune fans who don’t happen to be bigtime misogynists can or atleast trust him to succeed. but you’ll see.

[jes @jesckerley]

@nerd_cookies @chaostheory7 oh pal, all it takes for me is to click on your profile and put the name ‘chani’ in the searchbar. you’re literally the definition of obsessed, so i think this applies to you about 20x more than it does to me.

[jes @jesckerley]

@rumblescams @nerd_cookies if villeneuve was to make chani have a more central role in messiah, which we know he will, then how was the change in part 2 a mistake? are you really so small minded that you think denis can’t imagine a good story outside of the ‘great frank herberts’ vision?

[jes @jesckerley]

@rumblescams @nerd_cookies a troll for having a vpn? is this a thing you usually pull on here to try to hide away from actual responses?

[jes @jesckerley]

@rumblescams @nerd_cookies brilliant argument pal 😂

[jes @jesckerley]

@catphonics @RykerJackson97 is ai gonna wipe your ass too in the coming years or do you already have it doing that?

[jes @jesckerley]

@rumblescams @nerd_cookies exactly like how dare villeneuve take any creative liberty over dune, i’d get it if it was for giving paul more aura but to make the perfectly obedient chani a hecking girlboss??!! nope, he poisoned it with the woke virus. trump 2028 😤✊🦅 peace out

[jes @jesckerley]

@chaostheory7 @nerd_cookies dumpster fire yep yep 😂 i can’t even conceive of the level of mental gymnastics you have to go through to watch any of the trailers so far and force yourself to hate it simply because you can’t hand a single change from the book. book purists really are the worst of the worst.

[jes @jesckerley]

@FrameJumper99 @Aliathewhite what? so satantango is the film for the tiktok generation? wtf are you on about? 😂

[jes @jesckerley]

@ablumterra @Aliathewhite christ there really is a whole other world out there 😂 yea pal the spacing guild is what dune’s really about. also the chani criticism is so tone deaf and you will see exactly why it is done like this in part 3.

[jes @jesckerley]

@Aliathewhite @Space_Crusaderz you have to share a real deep disdain for villeneuve to say he understood the world of dune less than lynch. i mean bloody hell, dune isn’t just about ‘weird stuff’. you have to have really taken nothing from the books to say that villeneuve of all people didn’t understand it.

@baileylikemovie gonna see 400 posts from blue check accounts claiming denis butchered herberts great book meanwhile they’re yet to read a single page 🫩
