All purpose-driven living is immersed in mission. And, importantly, risk isn’t the downside of mission, it’s the foundation. Life without risk is inert and rootless. Pursuit guided faith is the only way through. #neversettle

REVIVAL IS WHEN GOD COMES DOWN - Ravenhill
THE reason for decline in any denomination, church, or ministry has ZERO to do w/ women leaders or any other secondary issue you can conceive.
It has EVERYTHING to do with desperation to SEEK the LORD.
Few few leaders in the Southern Baptist Convention know food-less days and sleep less nights.
We have broken the GREAT COMMANDMENT.
We don’t weep over wanting to know God more. We strive to be known more.
There is a holy revival remnant who need or want nothing but God. Their tribe is growing and they will provoke a return in the deadest of places.
They irritate the religious professionals.
They have oil upon their life.
Oh God stir the fire within them even now.
“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
“A moment of properly timed devotion is worth more than a lifetime of mediocre faith… I think we are, in fact, in one of those moments when God is drawing near.” …Jon Tyson, Responding to the #asburyrevival https://t.co/Luo9La4tSD
Is liberty the ability to do whatever we want or the ability to walk in excellence?
Mike Bickle challenges us to live with a spirit of excellence by edifying our brothers and sisters in Christ and glorifying Jesus in all we do.

Many of us older people you know likely came to Jesus either in the center of or on the fringes of the Jesus Revolution. It makes me long for and pray for a New Jesus Revolution that would sweep over many people in our culture and in the world. https://t.co/hTbndJAeit
In his book, Power From On High, Finney wrote these words. While I don’t agree with all of his theology, I believe this word to pastors is one we should heed.

IF YOU HAVE DECIDED that status quo Christianity is NOT for you & you are, with the help, power, & baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT (our best friend)…
GOING to burn for the Lord & seek Him all the days of your life.

I love that Scripture offers such a clear directive explicitly contradicting the human instinct to judge things externally. Take the #asburyrevival movement. At first a question mark, now it is clear the Lord is bringing the sleeping church out of its loveless, dormant state.
This is the most thought provoking statement I’ve read in months. God forgive me for having this attitude.
“I became aware that my own relationship with God has somehow become more of an employer/employee relationship than a love relation.”

Surprised at @CTmagazine under reporting on Asbury.
They did a couple of things, but not in proportion to the conversation and moment happening around the world with Gen Z.
Like a lot of other older institutions, struggling to show relevance to the next generation.
Saddened as I have appreciated them over the years.
Moments like this reveal the shifting dynamics of generations.
So much momentum on Rise and Fall and critique of the church. So little attention when the next generation responds with simple devotion.
Here is my summary of the Asbury Revival as I sit here in the room. It's a paraphrase of Jesus words at his annointing in Mark 14:6
"Leave them alone," said Jesus. "Why are you bothering them? They have done a beautiful thing for me.
Definitely interesting what’s happening this week at Asbury University. It’s noteworthy the last time anything like this happened was 1970. Could this be an early wave of another far-reaching, genuine #asburyrevival? https://t.co/NNw1lpPWnH
