@woodfordsarah Well said Sarah! Having a service like Medicuro is beneficial to residents of NL, especially with the ongoing physician shortage. I also agree with @SarahNosew13582 ‘s point regarding follow-up, I am curious to see if this is implemented in the future. #PHARM4420

@SarahNosew13582 This is a great point Sarah! This can certainly have a negative impact on patients who don’t have a family doctor, and who need these medications! Medicuro is a great resource for most patients, but this is definitely a limitation #PHARM4420

A pharmacist was recently added to Dr. Todd Young’s virtual care Medicuro team! As we know, pharmacists have an abundance of knowledge regarding certain minor ailments, and can aid in the process of getting patients the care they need when time is of the essence. #PHARM4420

This is a LARGE step in the right direction for our healthcare system. This Pharmacare program will help decrease overall healthcare costs including hospital visits, etc. in terms patients not being able to afford for e.g. their diabetic medication. #PHARM4420

@legge_madison Absolutely! Including a community pharmacist in the committee that will help shape the Pharmacare program will be extremely beneficial. Pharmacist's have the knowledge to make this program as efficient as possible, and will advocate for their patients. #PHARM4420
