September will mark 6 months out of the gym for hundreds of Michigan gymnasts. They're losing hope that they will catch up to their peers. Gymnastics isn't done outdoors. #EnoughIsEnough #savemichigangymnastics @LtGovGilchrist

@JRoseWXYZ @GovWhitmer Thank you for doing this! Save our sport! Our gymnasts have worked so hard and are now missing out on their chances

Boutique and specialized gyms and fitness centers have been hit as hard as anyone during the pandemic, Michigan is currently the ONLY state where gymnastics is not only at a standstill, it's going backwards.

Take a peek, @GovWhitmer

No tuition = Clubs close
No need for uniforms, equipment = Vendors close
No tourneys/meets = Hotels, host sites, restaurants lose $$
No competitions = athletes aren't seen, lose scholarships
No training = athletes miss more than can be listed in a tweet
See us!

I believe that gymnastics practices can safely be held in Michigan while following current state guidelines. #MISafeStartGymnastics

Department of Labor puts Gymnastics instruction with horse shows (open) and beaches, and not with fitness centers. Let's have a conversation for the sake of the athletes @GovWhitmer

Gymnastics facilities are on average at least 10,000 sq ft. There is one gymnast per apparatus. Why can’t our gymnasts return to the sport they love? They’ve been socially distant forever! We have a safe plan. Please open our gyms. @GovWhitmer @gretchenwhitmer

[Pam Glowacz @GlowaczPam]

@SenPeterJLucido @PLHornberger @RepMattHall @SenStabenow Do we not care about our community businesses? Our gymnastic facilities are shut out and many closing! Why will no one in Lansing listen? We can do this? We have a plan!#MISafeStartGymnastics

[Ryan Michaels @rwmichaels]

Michigan gymnastics facilities can reopen safely! Every other state has done so @GovWhitmer! Please allow our kids to get back in the gym. #MISafeStartGymnastics!

Go outside they say. Fine and dandy but cold weather and snow comes soon. But it is 2020 and it could come in September. @GovWhitmer @MISenate @koleszar_matt

#MISafeStartGymnastics let’s support kids activities that can safely get them active and keep their mind/body busy during this time of so much uncertainty

@GovWhitmer It took my daughter 1 full year of practice to achieve this 1 skill. She has since lost the skill due to not being able to practice. Please open our gyms. Theses gymnasts need the equipment to practice. Gymnastics is naturally socially distant! #MISafeStartGymnastics
