#Mudskipper (Periopthalmus sp.)

These tiny #amphibious #fish have specialised gill chambers that let them breathe out of water. They skip over #mudflats using their sturdy pectoral fins, and some even climb up #mangrove roots to hunt small crustaceans.

Raccoon Butterflyfish (#Chaetodon lunula)
This coral reef denizen is named for its raccoon-like mask. The dark band across its eyes and eye-like spots on its flanks confuse predators, who can't make head or tail of the #butterflyfish.
