@Michael54396667@lookforsun@MrsBNG @peachsandgrades And like all jobs the scale should move with inflation and a new teacher shouldn’t make as much as a veteran teacher. Like in all jobs mastery comes with time. I assumed that the pay scale shown at hiring was more than a false promise
@Michael54396667@lookforsun@MrsBNG @peachsandgrades I didn’t start as a teacher. I was in a government position where i earned overtime and got raises annually. I work more now and dedicate more of my free time to others. Yes it is beneficial to my community but it is also hard to rationalize the disparity.

No teacher is out there to be rich but the tax money often goes to 6 figure salaries of people in school management. I@
@Michael54396667@lookforsun@MrsBNG @peachsandgrades I was shown a pay scale that included steps for annual pay increases. I have taught for 12 years and have only received 2. We do not keep pace with inflation. But please continue the argument against paying teachers more, they only care for your children
