There is a lot of ignorance that comes from bigots misunderstanding/twisting source material but when creators aren't willing to say "this is not for you" or in cases like Yoshi P basically saying he welcomes these people to play his games then fandom will always be like that

The issue is no matter how interesting or good the next ffxiv expac might look (I have literally seen one still shot of it so idk) having to play through more Dawntrail to get to it is likely going to keep me from ever playing it ✌🏽

Every time a game comes out and gets caught using genAI to make some part of it, they want to get away with it and when they don't it's inclusion is "accidental"

They think you're stupid and they're trying to normalize its use and if you aren't stupid you shouldn't let them

The thing about these game companies that claim they only used AI for something small (placeholder) in their game is that it's a job that can be done by a real person. A real artist. Concept artist is a real job.

But they wanted to cut corners and cut costs.

And they are not passing these lower costs onto you by the way. Do you think bc they decided to cut out an entire job from their game development that they are going to charge less for the game or are you still being charged $70 for the BASE version?
