Tonight after an hr of praying for the congregation, I watched my pastor hold his wife as he prayed for her, for them, for their family, and more… tonight PC reminded me how high my standards should be set and if my future spouse isn’t praying for me like that - I don’t want it
In my defense I’ve only met one person in 3+ years that I wanted to put effort in to … he didn’t and then ghosted me… 3 times. So like yeah, I 100% don’t trust my ability to choose. someone help me.
Ok but like why do I have to find people, talk to them, and actually go on dates to find a husband? And why am I so adamantly opposed and have zero interest to trying to date while simultaneously feeling like I’m ready for a relationship?
Time to hit up therapy?
I dreamed all morning that I tested positive for covid so I didn’t have to go to work but my only symptom was exhaustion - and i literally turned off all of my alarms and just happened to wake up 10 min before I have to leave the house. Happy Monday.
Showed up to my parents house for dinner with a glass of wine in hand and heart shaped cakes right out of the oven and honestly that’s my brand for Valentine’s Day.
Giving a vaccine making conversation with the kiddo.
“I’m in a play at school, it’s a pretty old show, it’s called High School Musical”
I hate it here.
Someone tried go guilt me into going on a date by saying “what are you going to do, be single forever?”
Like I think you underestimate how ok I am with that. A worse alternative would be a relationship with someone who tries to manipulate me into their agenda
Nothing like postpartum flashbacks causing a wave of emotion and lots of tears at 10pm. I’m so thankful my mind is remembering so I can heal, but sometimes the trauma is really hard to process.
It’s always the ones saying “dont settle” who also love to tell you “you’re never going to find someone if you don’t stop being so picky” like I married the wrong person once not really trying to do that again.
Jesus used parables all the time to teach lessons in a way we could understand. Let Santa be the tool that teaches generosity and kindness. And if he helps with “go to bed without whining” some days….that’s ok too.
As someone who grew up in an ultra conservative church, went to Christian school, and still had to recreate and strengthen their relationship with Jesus again as an adult - you’re not saving your kids by “not doing Santa”
