Dolly Parton has passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 80 years old.

Nobody will forget when Mark Pope, just months into his Kentucky tenure before coaching his first game, gifted Dolly her very own Kentucky basketball jersey, No. 9-5, during her visit to Lexington in August of 2024.

She was in town celebrating the statewide expansion of her Imagination Library.
