A little late, but still glad I had the opportunity to see this publication through from a neat idea all the way to my inability to access my own work!

@Yemko_Pryor This is so normal though!! Without courses it might be the first time in your _life_ that there is no major time segment in your year, literally just working always. Your best isn’t the same every day, so just do what you can when you can! I got 0 done the summer after quals 😬
Gowned, hooded and graduated! Your resident first-gen, queer scientist is officially ready to stir the non-academic pot!! Shoutout to my incredible PhD advisor @CMarsit for his unwavering support throughout this experience and for helping me to master the art of eye rolling!!
I had such a great time sharing our research and learning about other's work during today's poster session! Thank you @PASMeeting for this wonderful opportunity! Looking forward to tomorrow's sessions!
I am excited to share I will be joining Denali Therapeutics as a PhD intern in San Francisco this summer! Very thankful for this opportunity and I am looking forward to working with the talented team at Denali to #defeatdegeneration https://t.co/nUhodcIHAz
If you didn’t get the NSF GRFP today your story is still very real. Don’t let 3 random people be the end all be all measure of validity for the struggles you overcame to be in a position to even submit one of those applications. Your story is important so keep telling it!
My PhD dissertation defense is tomorrow and yet there was a time in my life when I thought my life was over after getting wait listed at my undergrad alma mater lmao
The end of my PhD feels kind of like a TV series that got cancelled and the writers are just making things up to pretend like the plot is at an actual stopping point.
In all honesty, the only thing grad school has truly taught me is that I really need to know what everyone else is good at so I know who I can ask for help when I randomly need to become an expert in a new field in like 4 seconds.
Y’all gotta start being more open about your financial situation in grad school because If you’re supported by your parents or an S.O financially, then no, the stipend is not enough for you lmao stop lying to these interviewees
