@BroksTricky @acts2v38 @Monkeyjunk11 There’s a whole book on this, ‘Temptation Transformed’ - it’s on Anna’s Archive. In short, Apples are so goated that in multiple Western Euro languages, there were generic words for ‘round fruit’ that became synonymous with the one fruit. Striking red colour also played a part.
