@miriam_riviera@ohJuliatweets You don't know what "Ok Karen" means, huh? Just a phrase you heard that seemed insulting, so you apply it wherever like a cute lil' toddler!
@LilUziVartan@missmollymary E.g., I'm listening to TMoLH right now: it still does nothing for me past "this is an excellent album", so I just can't hear it as a candidate for Best Popular Music Album of The Modern Era. But if Apple's thumb gets it into the overall Top 100, I'm more than fine with that.
@LilUziVartan@missmollymary One thought I had about this is, whatever the merits of Apple's rankings (and their use of the word "definitive" annoys me as much as it always does): at least if you go by this guy's algorithm, it is an obviously necessary consensus corrective. https://t.co/dJT6TqvYHe
@powellAtlantic@tomzellerjr@nytimes It is a case-by-case call, depending on whether the reporter is a smug moron with a preset agenda or not. Avoiding you, Noonan, and Baker is obviously the right call.
@RonFortier Hey Ron, I teach a class on 80s games at NYU (and am gonna be on a podcast about BL in a few weeks,) and for the life of me I cannot figure out where the article with these photos came from. Do you remember? Thanks!
@ggooooddddoogg I honestly believe that allowing people to either add a +1 vote to one candidate *or* add a -1 vote to one candidate would greatly improve turnout without actually affecting any of the preference-revealing math.
@PatrickRuffini@admcrlsn How much would you have willing to bet against your idiotic claim in September? Send me that money right now and maybe I'll take you seriously.
@adamjohnsonCHI@ByYourLogic If painters had to literally paint their work onto their own neural networks, with all the recursive trauma that implies, they *might* be as nuts as actors.
