@SethJPierce My parents were dead against LOTR growing up, then when I finally convinced them to let me read the books they told me that if I wanted to watch the films, they’d watch them first. I still remember them watching them behind closed doors, then emerging absolutely loving the films

Don’t get me wrong, I know it’s almost impossible to do satire without getting political at some point, but it does seem waaay too partisan these days. I haven’t found a single post making fun of Trump but plenty taking the mickey out of dems, the LGBT community, and millennials.

Is it just me, or has @TheBabylonBee become WAY more politically conservative over the past few years? I understand Christianity = fundamentalist evangelicism for many, but half their posts seem to be dedicated to making fun of liberals and Democrats than actual Christian satire.
