2023:
- Directed 4 commercials, each in a different state
- Took my first clown class
- Fell in love with improv
- Wrote a pilot for a miniseries Iโm filming in Jan
2024:
- Continue performing
- Continue focus on narrative projects
I love all these "what's something you're proud of in 2023" prompt tweets. Not even joking. I will take reading people's wins over everything else on this stupid site any day. Keep them coming. And also, tell me what you're hoping to accomplish in 2024. Give it to me.
@MarkDuplass You get it. Caring for dogs teaches us how to better care for ourselves.
I'm writing & directing a series called "Dog Moms" about exactly this. https://t.co/T3DtrfI7fT
Hereโs a clip of my scene from Project Greenlight now streaming on (HBO) MAX. Having to create this in like a week with 5k was one of my more challenging moments as a directorโฆ but it was fun overall.
Neither the WGA or SAG-AFTRA is calling for a consumer boycott right now. If you want to support the strike, we're asking folks to:
1) Boost our message on social media
2) Donate to the Entertainment Community Fund, which supports affected workers https://t.co/HmUJCZaH2r
a legendary gaffer carried a clothespin in his pocket and when he got stupid lighting notes, would "put up another light", then sit at the monitor w/ the note giver and snap the pin at his side saying "on, off. on, off. which one?" they'd answer, he'd smile and say "good choice"
@Vintageasoul This resonates so hard. It's so heartbreaking to put so much time, love, energy, labor... all for it to go sight unseen. Glad you are still sharing the win - you booked it, you GOT it - that's huge. Much more to come!! โก
And last, but most importantly - cold card cash. Donations to the Entertainment Community Fund support not just writers but any hollywood creatives affected by this work stoppage. https://t.co/2c8kL11142 #wgastrong
Met with a producerโs assistant yesterday and she was telling me the way they decide on what scripts to pursue is to run them through an AI program that reads the script and projects how much money it will make in each country. And no comedies. Too volatile
I really, really love this article by @MrErnestOwens:

Two times this week men have tried to tell me their "cutting edge opinion" that cancel culture is bad, and this article hits the nail on the head of why it's actually a necessary tool.
Women so often betray their gender in support of the patriarchy. I see it over and over again as writers and producers who think being the only woman in a room full of men is the same as being a feminist. Maybe ask yourself why that's the room you want to be in to begin with?
I will always choose to build my own table instead of sitting at one created by the oppressor. If the work isn't diverse and egalitarian I don't want to be a part of it.
