The Ministry of Justice spent ยฃ4.2m representing prison officers at inquests, while only paying out only ยฃ92,000 in legal aid for bereaved families at inquests, accordingly to @MoJGovUK figures INQUEST released today.

Instead we let the govt slash legal aid, force vulnerable people to represent themselves in court and deprive innocent people of their legal costs when they are acquitted.
