I have to say, @nycmarathon is handling the cancellation of the 50th NYC Marathon the correct way. They’re giving the runners options.

Now they’re being told that all of their hard work will be put towards a virtual race versus the real thing. I don’t think that is fair. Do you?

I’m disappointed that @TomGrilk and the @BAA continue to remain silent.

@marty_walsh might have cancelled the 2020 @bostonmarathon which I agree with, but Tom and the B.A.A. can make things right by expanding the 2021 field like they did in 2013 and 2014.

Today, the @BAA is meeting w/their @bostonmarathon charity team managers to discuss the virtual race and options for the 2021 field.

I’d say we earned a spot in Hopkinton the next time the real Boston takes place. Right, @TomGrilk, @marty_walsh @jhboston26, and @adidasrunning?

You have to wonder why the @BAA has been so quick to dismiss deferrals to the 2021 @bostonmarathon field, based on the MA reopening plan.

There are about 2,500 charity runners. If all were deferred to the 2021 field, it would still be less than 2014.

Why the rush, @TomGrilk?
