@senatorshoshana@cvjonardi_j@Centralflzoo Hoffman’s sloth was listed in CITES appendix II, which places stricter controls on the trade of the animal. Linnaeus’ sloth was added recently because they look so similar anyone checking permits would struggle to tell them apart.
@cvjonardi_j@senatorshoshana@Centralflzoo Legally in Guyana you can export the native Linnaeus’s sloth, but they have recently been deemed a “lookalike” species so I am not sure if that has changed.
