@LessWasteLaura @ZoosVictoria started a campaign a number of years ago now about balloons. Research at the time indicated that balloons could up to 200km before landing in the ocean and were involved in a significant number of seabird deaths.

Fantastic project highlighting nature-based solutions for climate change mitigation.

I’ve already seen a bunch of ducks, moorhens and coots inspecting inquisitively however the resident cormorants and swans don’t seem to be fussed… yet

The floating wetlands in the Canting Basin at Glasgow Science Centre are a collaboration with both NatureScot and @UofGGES at the @UofGlasgow to green the grey in this area.

@emhaydon We were writing a radio piece about AI and wanted to see how Chat GPT would write the script- needless to say we ended up doing a a VERY META radio piece of “we asked chatgpt to write a radio piece about AI and this is what it said”

The FINAL and most infuriating…

For £70, an interpreter can be provided.

It’s horrific that someone needs to not only pay an extortionate amount of money for an appointment but to then spend another £70 because they don’t speak English and need help angers me so much!

I just dropped £400 to the UK Visa and Immigration services to “apply” to change my name on my visa…

“Apply” because if I miss a SLITHER of proof of ID, they can reject it.

Now let’s talk about the “additional services” they offered…
