1) Sob
= To cry loudly with sharp breaths or gasps, often from strong emotion.
Example:

2) Weep
= To cry quietly and gently, without much noise.
Example:

3) Whimper
= To cry softly and weakly, often while complaining or in fear.
Example:
The puppy whimpered when it was left outside.
4) Bawl
= To cry very loudly and uncontrollably.
Example:
The baby bawled when the toy was taken away.
5) Sniffle
= To cry lightly with repeated nose-sniffing sounds.
Example:
She sniffled and wiped her nose after the argument.
6) Wail
= To cry loudly and continuously because of pain, grief, or despair.
Example:
Mourners wailed at the funeral.
