Guys please fight for the life you want. Drag yourself out of the pits of self-doubt, self sabotage and whatever the devil is whispering in your ear. We are not here for long, empty yourself up. β₯οΈπΈ
I started watching football because of Messi. I supported Barca and Argentina because of Messi. Iβve never cried for a player, only for him.
How do I explain what he means to me? Iβve dreaded this day. I just wish I could keep Messi forever.
Today, I got really emotional remembering Ayotunde.π₯Ή
He was a die-hard Messi fan from when we were kids. I never understood why he defended Messi like his life depended on it π.Not until I fell in love with Messi myself. Heβd almost fight you over that man.
He passed in 2019, just before Messi went on to win everything with Argentina.π₯Ή
I often wonder how proud and happy heβd have been to witness it all.
So this is for everyone in MESSI FC who left this world before seeing him achieve it all.
This is to Ayotunde. π₯β€οΈ
You were right about Messi. Always.
Happy International Retirement, Lionel Messi. π
You have inspired generations of footballers, both Male and Female, around the world. Thank you for everything you have given to the beautiful game. π
Reading some of the Messi messages, I almost replied, "I hope you know it's a retirement from the national team, not from this planet." But people feel how they feel, and I understand.
I have been treating Messi's retirement the way I treat personal tragedies: with forced detachment. A refusal to acknowledge reality for what it is about to become. It is how I ease myself into accepting what must be.
That the greatest footballer of all time, the embodiment of human perfection in a craft, the archetype of how greatness should be carried, that Lionel Messi, having fulfilled every dream there was to fulfil with Argentina, from the youth team to the Olympic side to the senior national team, has now chosen, with the ovation at its loudest and without being pushed, to make a glorious exit.
Wizarab said that what should matter in politics is good governance, not oneβs ability to speak Yoruba fluently.
A young Yoruba man did a video, & in that video he said βfuck good governanceβ βwe canβt handover our state to someone whoβs not loyal to us.β
Immediately I finished watching that video, I wept for these guys. Tribalism has eaten deep into the flash of the Yorubas. To them, tribe comes first before anything. They donβt care about good governance, so far the person there can speak Yoruba fluently. π
No wonder thuggery is glorified in the southwest, & begging is their culture.
I hope one day you will be freed from this slavery!
