Done it once. Abso-fucking -lutely do not want to do it again.
My pulse will still randomly spike for no reason and sometimes stairs knock the wind out of me and that's all lingering Covid affects. Thanks.
Performing Arts Company: we'd like to offer you this six week contract ending in mid January
My gut: ...no
-A few days later-
My state: -declares a state of emergency until mid January due to holiday rise of numbers and variant-
My gut: told ya so
Still in a plague y'all. I've been able to stretch a little thanks to being in a place that was taking it seriously + superhero status between infection and antibody treatment but if you don't think I'm shutting that shit back down now you're wrong.
Hard pivot from TSwift to Sondheim. Still on the floor crying but instead of getting stabbed in metaphorical feels, it's because if it weren't for Sondheim I wouldn't have been the first in the fam with not one but two degrees. Some deaths just hit hard man.
I'm ALWAYS late to the party. This is how I live my life.
So with that in mind, nobody touch me, I'm laying on the floor having FEELINGS with my girl TSwift.
Nothing shows you which fingers you rely on most quite like having press on nails. Put them on Friday night to go to a wedding Saturday morning. My thumbs, pointer fingers, and left middle no longer have them.
The last five are pretty attached and don't seem to be going anywhere
@kelseynthompson @zacthebyrd ... the temptation to say something like "aren't they the same?" Is SO STRONG right now.
But also I feel like that's just signing my death certificate. ππ
Also if any of you find yourself in the position to have to tell me a loved one has died--maybe like, don't come up to my station at work and tell me in front of everybody? Get my boss to pull me off the floor? Wait until I'm home from work? Send a text? Literally anything else.
Sometimes it's your duty as a bystander to get up & intervene
Sometimes it's your duty to sit back & stay the f out of it
Love to the fam who showed up to the DMV to tell a worker her son died
A toast to the woman who lost her shit on them because "This is a place of business"
@MethBorrison If it's true crime you're looking for and you like your shit ethical towards the victim and their family you should check out @SarahETurney and her podcast Voices for Justice @VFJPod
@ZeroUtopia Yeah but like...if it's a known number do you really ignore it? There are some people who would call me if I went missing that would never call me otherwise. So I feel like seeing that name on the caller ID would make me immediately answer and go "what? who died? me? no I'm good"
