This video shows footage of an actual incident that occurred on January 12, 2016. At the time, two U.S. Navy riverine command boats mistakenly entered Iranian territorial waters (near Farsi Island in the Persian Gulf) and were detained by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Ten U.S. soldiers (Navy personnel) were temporarily held captive, and the video shows them sitting, with their eyes covered, and appearing to be crying.

They were subsequently released by the U.S. after several hours to a day (during the Obama administration).
