Awesome story, reminds me of a time many years ago when we had a 32bit application, and the vendor did not support 64bit OS. We were moving to Windows 7(64-bit) so I took it upon myself to figure out how to get it to work. I felt so accomplished, and I genuinely enjoyed the challenge. I don’t package as much today but it’s almost therapeutic when I do… takes me back to a simpler time.

Windows Registry Inventory is coming to Intune.

You define the HKLM keys in the Properties Catalog, and Intune verifies what is actually present on the device.

But what happens after the policy reaches Windows?

The Intune Sync button is finally getting a real upgrade.

It will now (yes now!!) trigger the regular MDM policy check-in and also wake up the Intune Management Extension (IME) workloads, such as Win32 apps, PowerShell scripts, and Remediations.

The best thing? The Win32 app part is already in production!
