こんにちは! We're PGH-based alumni of the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching) Program, who spent 1-5 years in Japan. (@jetaany subchapter; tweets by @smithaprasadh.)
Due to intense labor demands on Twitter employees, this JET alumna has unilaterally decided to put JETAA Pittsburgh’s Twitter account on hold for now.
Please find us at https://t.co/CUxH0PYaSB and https://t.co/KYXvDsj2dz.
Thanks. :)
Bill Tsutsui - noted Godzilla/ゴジラ scholar - gave a fantastic keynote on why the US loves Japan.
Two of our 3 Country Reps, Valerie and Megan, gave a brief talk about JETAA nationally.
Karin Zaugg Black is talking about Seattle’s sister-city/port relationships with Kobe.
Pittsburgh’s in attendance at #JET35! I was a couple of minutes late in joining; Jim Gannon has introduced Paige Cottingham-Streater, and she’s acknowledging important USJETAA and JETAA reps who have made this gathering and many JETAA USA efforts possible.
Don't forget, early registration for the JET35 Alumni Reunion ends on March 31st! Check out what's included in your registration. Hope to see you there! Register: https://t.co/0zfNWKwEO3 @jetaausa@JETwit#jetaa#jetalumni
After a long wait, our 105 2020 and 2021 DC JETs departed for Japan today! We are proud of everyone for their patience as they waited to go on JET, and the day has finally come. We wish our DC JETs the best of luck & safe travels! #JETProgram#JETProgramme#JapanLife#WorkAbroad
#Tokyo2020 fun fact: Saitama City, neighbor of Tokyo and host to several Olympics events, is a sister city of Pittsburgh.
A delegation from Saitama-shi visited Pittsburgh several summers ago, as part of revitalizing this connection.

Hi, friends - JETAA Pittsburgh has been very quiet for the duration, as the world has forced us to focus primarily on ourselves first. But we're still here, and we still care about you. Don't hesitate to reach out if yinz need us. 🖤💛💙
We’re back; something flagged our Twitter account and locked us out for a little bit. In the process, we’ve lost our entire list of follows, so stay tuned as we re-follow you!
Legitimately excited that JETAA Pittsburgh will be attending NatCon - the @JETAAUSA National Conference - which begins tonight.
While our subchapter's slowed down this year, cross-JETAA connections have strengthened significantly. Including subchapters, which is amazing. ✌🏽😄
Tonight's Pittsburgh-focused JET Program info session was a lot of fun! I talked my head off for an hour and we had almost 20 attendees.
For JET applicants, hello! :D We mostly post on Facebook, but this may be the year I change that... https://t.co/KYXvDsj2dz
