@AriDrennen This has got to be one of the most uneducated takes on aviation I’ve ever seen. This was a catastrophic mechanical failure at the most inopportune time possible. I know I’m probably asking too much but show some respect.
Love the @utahmammoth but I’m not loving the away jersey. It’s too reminiscent of UHC. The Mammoth logo is so cool it should be front and center on the away jersey (not just on the home jersey). Nevertheless, nice win tonight, boys! #TusksUp
.@TuskyNHL has been very busy counting up how many hats were thrown on the ice for Schmaltzy’s hat trick the other night… 🧢
Closest guess to how many there are wins a very special prize! ⤵️
Today the world lost a father, a husband, and a cultural force who encouraged honest debate and communication with those who disagreed. I'm utterly heartbroken and my prayers are with his family. He had such a powerful voice my young son took three flights just to shake his hand. Charlie was magnanimous and gracious — he welcomed me onto his podcast, invited me to his events, and offered me his platform even when we did not see eye to eye on certain topics. It's a very rare and special soul who does that.
The hatred that has seeped into our culture must stop. If we give in to this anger, if we allow hate to breed hate, we lose not only lives but our very humanity. We have got to reject this darkness — in our media, in our politics, and within ourselves. Let's take the pain of this loss as a solemn call to ensure it never happens again. All of our leaders on both sides of the aisle, of all colors, all genders, and all orientations need to set a better example. Come together. Choose empathy, understanding, and unity — in honor of Charlie, for the sake of our culture, and the well-being of generations to come. Rest in peace, Charlie.
Just finished watching the Thunderbirds documentary on Netflix. Unlike the @BlueAngels doc where they follow the team throughout the entire season this one focuses mostly on winter training and getting certified to fly the show. They do a deep dive into many maneuvers and the mistakes/frustration along the way. In fact, there is a lot of frustration in this doc. It’s refreshing to see because witnessing all that frustration drives home how much work goes into fixing their mistakes in pursuit of perfection.
Overall it’s a great documentary with some incredible footage. Glad the @AFThunderbirds finally got some documentary love.
Also, there is also a really nice piece honoring their last fatality-Cajun.
The more I see the logo the more I like it. Loving the Easter eggs (state of Utah, hidden M, and the mountains). Someone just asked me if I can see the eagle. What?!!! Did the #UtahMammoth place a hidden eagle in their logo? It’s like the eagle has Utah under her wing.

@wileyvet09 @UTYeti It's a similar theme but I don't think there is anything wrong with being similar and trying to capture the essence of the name. Look at MLB--Milwaukee, Mets, Oakland, Houston, Seattle, Washington all have similar logos. Not to mention all the letter logos (LA, SD, CR, etc...).
Mammoth, as an adjective, suggests a scale beyond what is typical or ordinary. It’s conjures images of power & strength. It fits Utah, the team & the fans perfectly. Mammoth hockey is POWERFUL hockey. Mammoth fans are TREMENDOUS fans. And getting an NHL team here was HUGE! #TusksUp
Here is the #UtahMammoth logo going up against some of my favorites from around the NHL. It needs the black background (like VGK) to really pop. I think the Ducks, VGK, and Sharks are just glorious logos. You can’t beat them. But Utah nailed it with this new logo. #TusksUp
@RomeroWestCoast@utahhockeyclub@NHL I’ve always loved the Sharks logo. You guys and the Ducks (original duck bill goalie mask logo), are awesome. I’m very happy with my teams new logo. I don’t think you could ever beat the sharks or the ducks, but Utah Mammoth did great.
@Captain59502999@RyanQualtrics This was my beef with the name, too. A singular Mammoth seems weird (especially for a herd animal) but Mammoths was a mouthful. I’ll get used to it. If they come out with a sick logo I think it will be awesome.
