In 2005, an enterprising woman from Thailand came to Pune to visit the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati. Afterward, she began traveling from Thailand to Pune every month for darshan. She desired to build a Dagdusheth Ganpati temple in Thailand as well. Initially, the Trust refused her permission.

But after some time, the trust, seeing the woman's unwavering devotion, granted permission to build the temple a few years later. The 700-kilogram idol of Shri Ganesha was shipped to Thailand, and a replica of the Pune temple was built. This year, the first Ganesh Utsav is being celebrated there. Ganpati Bappa Morya!
