I can still smell it: pine and campfire embers, somehow chilly and steamy at the same time.

Stealing stop signs from small-town roads and playing the guitar while others talked the night away.

Fireflies drifted lazily through the darkness in the front lawn as though they had nowhere important to be, and for a few precious hours, neither did we.

In the Winter, the world slows you down.
In the Spring, you have to slow yourself down to really appreciate it.

Summer evenings seem to exist for no purpose at all except to be enjoyed — and perhaps that is purpose enough.

To be seen, and to be known — and still loved — is a heavenly gift.
